Strength-based feedback in trainings pays off

Trainings cost money. Some small and medium-sized businesses do think long and hard about how much money they want to spend for it. Investment in trainings have to be well dosed and accurate. As for this topic, we have developed a couple of ideas out of our concept "Strategic Personal Development", in order to be able to act value-added.

One of these ideas is the focus on strengths and the consequent feedback to these strengths, which we use in almost every training as a permanent feature. Current studies of the Gallup-Institute show clearly that this helps boosting sales. A study (of 530 work units) found out that teams with managers who received strengths feedback in trainings showed an average of 12.5 % greater productivity than the reference group without feedback. A similar study of 469 business units of the retail business showed an average of 8.9 % greater profitability when their managers had received strenghts feedback. These are astonishing results, even if you would deduct percentage points.
