Strategic Personnel Development: Experience-based learning

The venerable Harvard Business School (HBS) has now in its program, what we have implemented in our development programs for many years for our customers: Development works especially by experienced based learning and not only by simulation of hundreds of case studies.

Due to rejections of the finance and economic crisis, the HBS has questioned its present training system within the MBA-classes and will now enable their students definitely more experienced based learning (Nohria, HBM 02/2012). In future, the students will be able to perform customer-oriented projects in so called FIELD-events (Field Immersion Experiences For Leadership Development). These projects illustrate relevant challenges for customers like for example the development of new products. The students will be supported by lecturers of HBS who themselves have the necessary experience and who have not only  "grown up" within the university ivory tower.
