Specialist, manager or entrepreneur? In his book "Der Weg zum erfolgreichen Unternehmer" the entrepreneur and coach Stefan Merath describes from his point of view decisive tasks of a entrepreneur. We recommend this book to all entrepreneurs and higher leaders who wish to reflect their present acting. In our opinion, the differentiation between working in the company and for the company or the distinction between specialist, manager and entrepreneur tasks are very helpful.

The book is written in first-person perspective of an entrepreneur; this makes it mostly practical, but sometimes also lengthy. In contrast, the following passage stay in one's memory: "If your company grows, then you as an entrepreneur have two possibilities. Either you grow with it and you will have success. Or your company outgrows and you perish. You have the choice!" These passages force thinking and quite reflect our daily experiences with regard to the work with managers and higher leaders.
