Change Management: Corporate Self-Management
Who hasn't shared the experience , either as a board member, a manager, team leader or an employee, of trying "to get a grip on something" when all else fails? We are talking about the (non-)controllability of organisations and the people within these organizations. This hints to system theory. In the insightful book from the colleagues of the consultig group Neuwaldegg (Corporate Self-Management - A Handbook for Managers and Executives) it describes, in an easily understandable way and with practical examples, their consulting approach.

The authors succeed in showing known concepts of System theory comprehensibly and without a lack of profoundness. In the "toolboxes" they describe instruments which can be used in daily business. Particularly appealing is the metaphor of the company as a biotope (bios - life, habitat - place): What has to be done so that liveliness and agility prevail with in a company) Which interdependencies should be regarded, so that everybody finds enough place and space to flourish? What happens if minor matters are not seen as important? If you actually have the feeling that you can't "get a grip on something" then you are probably right! For all of you who want to have a 2min-impression, here is the link to the video.
